LucroVox commits 1% of future revenue to skills training for the trades

LucroVox today announced the Profit-with-Purpose Pledge, a long-term commitment to direct one percent of the company’s annual revenue toward skills training for the trades. The pledge takes effect in the first year LucroVox is profitable and continues thereafter for the life of the company.
The trades have an arithmetic problem: the United Kingdom faces a shortfall of skilled plumbers, electricians and heating engineers projected to widen through the decade; the United States is similarly short. LucroVox’s entire customer base — the plumbers, HVAC technicians, electricians and clinic operators whose phones the company answers — depends on a healthy pipeline of new tradespeople. The pledge funds that pipeline.
The Profit-with-Purpose Pledge — in plain English
From our first profitable year onward, LucroVox will donate one percent of annual revenue to vetted apprenticeship and skills-training programs for plumbing, electrical and HVAC trades. We will publish the recipient list, the dollar amount and an annual impact note every year. We will not market the pledge as a substitute for paying our taxes.
The pledge is structured around three principles: revenue, not profit (the donation is one percent of top-line, so it cannot be optimised away in a bad quarter); tradespeople, not headlines (recipients are programs that train apprentices, not nameplate beneficiaries); and transparency by default (every cheque written is published).
