LucroVox is a Pledge 1% company. We commit one percent of profit to mental-health support for the trades — because the plumbers, sparks, fitters and crews who keep our homes running deserve someone to pick up for them too.
Construction-industry suicide rates in the U.K. are roughly 3.7× the national average for men. In the U.S., construction has the highest suicide rate of any major industry — about 4× the national rate. The people building and fixing the country are dying at multiples of everyone else, and almost nobody talks about it.
LucroVox exists because tradies are working too hard, picking up phones at 9pm on a Tuesday, and leaving money on the table because nobody answered. The product fixes the phone problem. This page is about fixing the part that the phone problem is just a symptom of.
“We pick up the phones so plumbers, electricians, and HVAC techs can put theirs down at night. 1% of every subscription goes to mental-health support for the trades.”
— LucroVox · The Voice of Profit
We split our 1% across two organisations — one in each of our markets — that are both rated, established, and have decades of work behind them. We re-evaluate our beneficiary list every year on the company anniversary.
The only U.K. charity dedicated solely to the wellbeing of construction workers and their families. Operates a 24/7 confidential helpline (Construction Industry Helpline), a free wellbeing app, on-site critical-incident response, and financial-hardship support for tradies who can’t work.
Funded by the industry, for the industry. They take roughly 30,000 calls a year and never charge a worker for help. They have published accounts and are audited annually.
lighthousecharity.org →CIASP is the U.S. construction industry’s formal alliance for suicide prevention. Founded by the Construction Financial Management Association, partnered with OSHA, AFSP, and the National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention. They provide training resources, site-level toolbox talks, and safety-stand-down materials to construction firms across the country — free of charge.
Their work has been cited by the CDC, OSHA, and major industry trade publications. CFMA is a 501(c)(6) and CIASP’s funding is fully transparent.
preventconstructionsuicide.com →We’ve formally joined Pledge 1%, the global movement of companies that commit 1% of equity, profit, time, or product to social causes. We chose profit as our pledge type so the contribution scales as the company does — and so we’re honest about the year-one number being small.
We review our charity list every May. If you work in the trades, with the trades, or know a mental-health charity we should be supporting — tell us about it. Two-line email is fine.
